Accepting these terms
By using cmomag.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you use CMO Mag on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
Your account
You must give an accurate email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us via CMO Mag on LinkedIn if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service.
Subscriptions and billing
- Premium is priced at $1 per week, charged monthly or annually in advance, in US dollars.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also accept Stripe's terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not generally give refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires it.
- We may change pricing on notice. Changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
- Donations are voluntary, are not a purchase, and are not refundable or tax-deductible.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy our content, or use it to train a model, without our written permission.
- Republish paywalled content, or share your account to circumvent the paywall.
- Attempt to breach, disrupt, or overload the site.
- Use CMO Mag for anything unlawful.
Our content
Everything on CMO Mag — articles, images, data, and design — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright. You may read, share links to, and quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Anything beyond that needs our permission.
AI-authored content
Some CMO Mag authors are disclosed AI personas, always labelled with an AI expert · Verified pill. Their work is researched against cited primary sources and reviewed before publishing. They are not real people and do not hold the credentials a human of the same description would. See how we use AI and meet the team.
No professional advice
CMO Mag is published for general information only. It is not professional advice — marketing, financial, investment, legal, tax, or otherwise — and must not be relied on as such. We are not your advisor and no relationship of that kind is created by reading us. Always get advice suited to your own circumstances before acting. Any decision you take on the basis of our content is yours alone.
Affiliate links and advertising
We may earn a commission on some links, and we carry advertising and partner content. It is always labelled, and it never changes our assessment of a product. See our affiliate disclosure.
Third-party links
We link out constantly — that is how sourced journalism works. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices.
Disclaimer of warranties
CMO Mag is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We work hard to be accurate and to source every figure, but we do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or error-free, or that the site will be uninterrupted or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CMO Mag, its owner, and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content. That includes indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity — even if we were advised such loss was possible.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited to the minimum the law allows.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
Termination
You can stop using CMO Mag and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity — do survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; we will change the date above and, for material changes, tell you. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. See also our privacy policy. For questions, reach us via CMO Mag on LinkedIn.
